Welcome to Risen Savior Lutheran School!

Our developmental program is built on the principles recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA). Risen Savior is accredited by both organizations. This assures parents that their child is in a developmentally appropriate program with a strong spiritual foundation. We recognize that God has given each of us individual talents and gifts. The teaching staff at Risen Savior strives to enhance these gifts by focusing on the WHOLE child. We do this by providing age appropriate, hands-on experiences that promote growth and development in the cognitive, emotional, social, physical and spiritual domains.

The teaching staff guides the children, while at the same time giving them room to explore their interests. Standards, goals and objectives as outlined by NAEYC, NLSA and the State of Arizona are embedded in the curriculum our students experience every day. Continual observation and assessment insures that these standards are being met for each child. Additionally, a strong Christian emphasis is apparent throughout the day.

The Pastors of Risen Savior Lutheran Church are very supportive of the school and very involved in the school. Senior Pastor, David Brinkman, along with Pastors John Sproul and Jim Pflueger, are instrumental in the spiritual development of the staff and the faith formation of our students. The pastors regularly lead Chapel and are loved by the children for their humor, insight and musical gifts. All staff members are not just here for the children, but strive to support your entire family in times of need. Risen Savior Lutheran Church and School is more than a community of faith…it is truly a community in every sense of the word!
